How to Not Ruin Your New Favorite Piece
Cold water only. Heat is for the engine, not the wash cycle. Turn inside out before washing. Protect the embroidery and prints. Gentle detergent only. The garment-dyed finish is settled, keep it that way. First wash may release a little excess dye. Wash separately to be safe. Air dry when possible. If tumble drying, keep it low and pull it out promptly.
Drying
Air drying is best to preserve the weight, shape, and finish of every piece. If using a dryer, select low heat or delicate. Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles and keep the structure intact.
A Few More Things Worth Knowing
No bleach. No harsh detergents. Both will fade the color and break down the fabric faster than it should. No fabric softener. It affects the texture of the cotton and dulls the finish over time. For printed tees, never iron directly over the graphic. Turn inside out or use a pressing cloth on low heat. For hats and caps, spot clean only. Keep them out of the machine entirely.
The Short Version
Cold. Inside out. Gentle. Air dry. The details are what make it. Keep them intact.
